Local Southeast Michigan United Ways to Benefit From Chrysler Jeep Superstores 'Gift Exchange'End of Year Sales Event Expected to Generate $50,000 For United Way Community Services DETROIT, Dec. 20 The United Way has been "adopted" by the southeast Michigan Chrysler Jeep Superstores for their third annual end-of- the-year "Gift Exchange" sales event. The special holiday Gift Exchange new vehicle sales event by the Chrysler Jeep Superstores Association of Southeastern Michigan is scheduled from Tuesday, December 26, 2000 through Saturday, December 30, 2000. The sales target for the Gift Exchange is 1,000 new vehicles sold or leased, with $50 of each sale going to the United Way. "The Gift Exchange program closes out the year with our tradition of making a difference in our communities," said Mark Snethkamp, president of the sponsoring Chrysler Jeep Superstore Association. He is also president of Snethkamp Chrysler Jeep in Highland Park. "The customers will benefit with special purchase and lease programs during the event and the United Way will get a donation. It's a win-win for everyone and it keeps the holiday spirit of giving." Proceeds from the Gift Exchange event are donated to the local United Ways in Southeastern Michigan, a vast network of volunteers and community service agencies throughout the area. The United Ways support local organizations that help people meet their health and human care needs in their own communities, such as the American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Michigan, Goodwill Industries, and YMCS/YWCA. The Chrysler Jeep Superstores are expecting to raise $50,000 for United Ways during the week-long Gift Exchange event. All Chrysler Jeep Superstores in southeast Michigan are participating in the program.
